Kinsta Pricing Guide: 2025 Plans and Deals

Kinsta stands out for its WordPress-focused hosting plans, but it’s also more expensive than competitors. We break down Kinsta’s pricing to see if it’s worth the cost.

With a price range of $30-$450/mo, Kinsta is not what you’d call cheap. In fact, it’s one of the most expensive web hosting services we’ve tested.

However, it does offer quite a lot to justify its high cost. Yes, it’s reliable. Yes, it’s arguably one of the best providers of managed WordPress hosting in the business. But I’d only recommend Kinsta in some cases.

I’ll be going over Kinsta’s pricing plans, ways to save money, the best alternatives, and more below. Read on if you’re in need of serious business or enterprise WordPress-optimized hosting.

How much does Kinsta cost?

Compared to almost any other web hosting option, Kinsta’s pricing is expensive, especially among WordPress site hosting services. It doesn’t have an overwhelming number of critics, but the ones it does have tend to say it’s overpriced, and for most use cases, they’re not wrong.

  • Hostinger, for example, offers managed WordPress site hosting in the range of $2.99-$7.99/mo for the first year. Even after that initial year, you’ll pay less than $15/mo.
  • Bluehost starts at $3.99/mo for the cheapest plan, and renews at $9.99/mo.

But Kinsta does offer a few features that could make the price worth it. Here’s an overview of the hosting plans for single and multiple sites at the cheapest and most expensive extremes:

For those on the fence, Kinsta offers a free trial of its cheapest plans for the first month. There is also a 30-day money-back guarantee.

You might notice that there are very few differences between the plans in terms of actual features. Most of the differences are about the resources, which is good. I like that the cheapest plan can get you (almost) the same set of features as the most expensive. Honestly, that’s why I’d recommend the cheapest plan for most people.

What do you get with Kinsta?

In an effort to justify its price point, Kinsta has tried to create the best WordPress experience out there. So there aren’t a lot of typical extras like email hosting.

But they do offer a few other types of web hosting, if you need it.

Here’s a more complete list of what Kinsta offers:

  • Managed WordPress hosting: This is Kinsta’s main focus, and as much of the technical stuff as possible is handled for you.
  • A reputation for reliability and security: Everything runs on the Google Cloud Platform, which has a strong reputation.
  • Application hosting: This is a more advanced option, intended for developers who want custom solutions.
  • Static site hosting: This hosting is for customers who build sites manually or use static site generators.
  • Database hosting: This offers secure cloud storage of your business’s databases on the hosting server.

As WordPress is the main plan Kinsta offers, it comes with a lot of extra related features, including:

  • Premium staging environments
  • Automatic updates
  • Assisted or unlimited free site migrations on WP plans
  • WordPress plugin and theme management
  • User management
  • Built-in site analytics and performance stats
  • Free CDN
  • 24/7 support
  • Developer-friendly features: SSH access, SFTP access, Git

Which plan is right for your business?

Unless you’re already running a single high-resource site or need a multi-site plan for yourself or your clients, just go with the cheapest single-site plan, Single 35K. Start there, and upgrade as needed. Unless you’re hosting massive files or getting crushed by the Reddit Hug of Death, you won’t need more.

FAQs

Is Kinsta expensive?

In comparison to other web hosts, yes, Kinsta is wildly expensive. It’s even more expensive than SiteGround’s post-renewal prices, which is saying something.

Is Kinsta free?

Kinsta is not free, but you can try the very cheapest plans for one month for free. If you go straight to spending your hard-earned cash, Kinsta also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Is it worth paying for Kinsta?

It’s worth paying for Kinsta if you specifically want the level of WordPress optimization and customer support that Kinsta provides. If you can make do with an experience that’s just very good rather than premium, at a price to match, it’s not worth it.

Bottom line: Is Kinsta worth it?

Kinsta is absolutely worth it for website owners who specifically need what Kinsta provides. Frankly, that’s not going to be most people. Kinsta is great and has many happy customers, but it lives by the ancient adage: You get what you pay for, and its price point reflects that.

Most small- to medium-sized business owners will be more than happy with other, more affordable hosting providers, such as Hostinger, Bluehost, or IONOS. Scroll back up and check out the links for detailed reviews of the best Kinsta alternatives.
