Both plans have an extremely reasonable annual fee. It’s also nice that they both offer a free plan you can use to test the product, although both free plans lack certain features.

When it comes to the premium versions, Total Adblock does come with quite a few more features, like TotalAV Antivirus, which makes it a better value for the money spent.

Poper isn’t lacking in interesting features. In our testing, we found the magic wand feature erased things we didn’t want on the page. It was unique and not something you find in many other ad blockers.

Winner: Total Adblock. Although Poper’s paid plan includes some great features, Total Adblock offers a little more for your money.

Both ad blockers offer a bevy of features that will clean up and improve your overall browsing experience.

We did find that Total Adblock, especially the paid version, blocks a few more categories of ads. Poper, however, does include some cool features like the magic wand that may be more your speed if you aren’t looking for a combination of security products with it.

We tested both ad blockers in a variety of categories.

  • Adblocker Tester sends 100 ads and then evaluates how well each was blocked (if at all)
  • Cover Your Tracks tests if the software in question has the ability to hide you online
  • Can You Block It measures the ability to block banner ads and ad blocker messages

While Poper blocked many of the ads you’d encounter on everyday internet sites, Total Adblock did a much better job of hiding us from trackers, ads, and other annoying things. It definitely showed more power against a wide variety of issues.

This category highlights some of the largest differences between the two products. Poper is, for now at least, a browser extension while Total Adblocker includes an app and browser extension. There’s really no comparison when it comes to compatibility.

If you’re only a Chrome or Firefox user, Poper would be perfectly acceptable for you. But if you need a little more from your ad blocker, you’ll probably want to grab Total Adblock.

And if you ever need help, Total Adblock does offer 24/7 customer support, though we could only find the link by scouring their terms of service.

Winner: Total Adblock. It’s compatible with a lot more than Poper, plus has better customer service.
