AdGuard works across various browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera, and Yandex. This flexibility across platforms could appeal to users who need ad blocking for multiple devices.

1Blocker is designed specifically for Apple operating systems and the Safari browser. While that makes it an ideal selection for users who have iPhones and Macs, it leaves out a large portion of the population.

1Blocker has a pricing tier that allows you to choose whether you want to pay monthly or for a year at a time. If you select an annual subscription, you’ll get a discounted price costing about $1.25 per month rather than the standard monthly fee of $2.49.

We chose 1Blocker’s Yearly plan as its best value option due to the significant savings. New customers can also take advantage of a free 14-day trial to test the 1Blocker features.

We think AdGuard’s Family plan is the best value option from this blocker. It stops ads on up to nine devices and only costs a few dollars more per month. It’s the more economical plan, and you still get the same features.

Additionally, AdGuard offers a 60-day money-back guarantee that gives users plenty of time to test all the features and get a refund if it’s not a satisfactory product.

Winner: 1Blocker wins with a lower price, but AdGuard has a robust system of features and offers blocking across diverse platforms.

1Blocker and AdGuard offer the same features for ad blocking. But, while AdGuard works across almost any platform or device, 1Blocker was made for Apple only.

1Blocker extension is open at the top of the page on Forbes.

Since many software programs leave out features Mac and iOS users would like to have, finding a product that caters to these devices is rare.

The impressive lineup of features these ad blockers offer allows you to customize the content you do and do not want to see.

Neither one of these products has paywall bypassing capabilities, but that isn’t a surprise. Websites don’t want you to get through without paying, so they don’t make it easy for you.

Winner: This one is a tie. These two ad blockers are equal regarding the features they include.

AdGuard has much better compatibility because it works across numerous browsers and operating systems while 1Blocker was built for Apple only.

Apple users are accustomed to products being geared toward Windows, so finding an ad blocker that has features made for them is a rare feat.

We were impressed with 1Blocker while testing it using iOS and macOS. The interface was easy to use, and the only issue we had was with toggling the ad blocker on and off in Safari for iOS. There were no issues when performing that same function on our Macbook Pro.

Likewise, AdGuard was simple to navigate, and during our testing, we noticed no system lag time while using the product. It even saved some data, which was an unexpected bonus. You can see the number of ads blocked, the data saved, and the threats and trackers blocked.

The statistics features are a bit hazy as they show the number for Privacy and Ad Blocking, but we weren’t certain how these lined up or what they meant.

Winner: AdGuard is the winner with better compatibility than 1Blocker. Although Apple users will like a product customized for them, AdGuard maximizes the benefits across various platforms.
