There's also an option to request Hostinger to migrate WordPress or other open-source sites for you. Hostinger offers this service for free, which is a great value.

The process involves sharing your login credentials with Hostinger, which may pose a security risk. Hostinger's privacy policy states that it doesn't guarantee the protection of your personal data, even though it does take security measures to prevent data loss.

Kodee: Hostinger's AI assistant

Hostinger includes an AI assistant called Kodee with every plan, reachable 24/7 from the dashboard and live chat. It now markets Kodee as an AI agent that can stand up a WordPress site, configure hosting and DNS, and resolve common issues on its own, a step beyond the support chatbot it started as.

In practice, I found Kodee handy for quick questions, but the dashboard is clean enough that most beginners won't lean on it constantly. Apply the usual scrutiny to its AI output: Hostinger itself warns that "Kodee may produce inaccurate information," so verify anything it changes on a live site before you trust it.

Hostinger security features

Web hosting security is crucial for protecting your websites and data. Hostinger has standard security features, but nothing too impressive. According to its privacy policy, Hostinger states that its servers are not designed to meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards.

If your site handles credit card information to make money, PCI compliance is a necessity. Since Hostinger's servers aren't built for it, you'll need a third-party payment processor like Stripe or PayPal, or a host that offers PCI-compliant servers directly, like IONOS.

On the other hand, GoDaddy pulls ahead on advanced infrastructure and support. But Bluehost includes cPanel, a free CDN, and WordPress staging on every plan, while Hostinger requires an upgrade for CDN and staging.
