Onerep is among the best data removal services for multiple users. Its family plans cover up to six people, and everyone on the plan gets unlimited name variations, phone numbers, and addresses. This is helpful if someone in your household has moved often or gone by more than one name.

Onerep has two tiers. The base plans cover 318 people search sites. The Pro plans expand that to 870+ by adding private data brokers, along with unlimited custom removals, a dedicated privacy expert, and priority support. Scans run monthly, and you get a monthly email report.

The dashboard is clearly labeled, with removal progress, data broker exposure, and time saved all on the main tab. Over the course of our subscription, Onerep reported that we saved more than 170 hours through its automated removals. Onerep also holds a SOC 2 Type II certification, an independent audit of how it handles customer data over several months.

Onerep's drawbacks are that it's only available in the United States, and its founder previously launched dozens of people search sites, which we cover in the security section below.

Onerep's base tier covers people search sites only, so you don't get non-public data broker coverage until you move to Pro. Onerep also rescans monthly against DeleteMe's quarterly cadence, so new listings could be detected sooner.

DeleteMe advertises 976 sites, but that figure folds in international brokers, custom requests, and business tiers.

Custom removals

Every DeleteMe plan includes custom removals, starting at 10 per quarter on Standard and going unlimited on Platinum and above. With Onerep, custom removals require a Pro plan.

DeleteMe names its encryption. It uses AES-256 and TLS 1.2, and it documents an audit program, along with GDPR and CCPA compliance.

Onerep doesn't state an encryption method anywhere we could find. That isn't the same as saying it has none, but it leaves you without a way to check.

Both DeleteMe and Onerep are SOC 2 Type II certified. This means an independent auditor evaluated how its data privacy and security standards held up over several months rather than at a single point in time.

Both services offer two-factor authentication. Onerep uses SMS verification, while DeleteMe supports either an authenticator app or an emailed code.

What to know about Onerep's founder

A March 2024 Krebs on Security investigation reported that Onerep founder Dimitri Shelest registered dozens of people search services and held a stake in Nuwber, a people search site Onerep removes users from. Shelest confirmed the Nuwber stake but said there's "zero cross-over or information sharing" with Onerep.

This is important to know, but it doesn't mean we found evidence that Onerep mishandles customer data. Whether a founder's history in the people search business is disqualifying is a judgment call, and it's a fair reason to prefer DeleteMe if it sits badly with you.

Although we liked both dashboards, Onerep's is arguably the cleaner of the two. It shares removal progress, broker exposure, and time saved on a single screen, plus a list of every profile found and every removal in progress.

DeleteMe has other user experience strengths. It's available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and more, while Onerep covers the United States only.

Onerep has no cancel option in account settings, so you have to email, chat, or call. Onerep's support was quick and didn't push me to stay. Similarly, I emailed DeleteMe to cancel and support replied in four minutes, processing a prorated refund without pushback.

Onerep does score higher on Trustpilot, at 4.7 against DeleteMe's 4.0, with more than 80% of reviewers giving it five stars and calling it effective and easy to use. Other reviewers flagged website functionality problems and slow removals.
